Cassola..a Holiday break Dessert Recipe


Cassola is usually a Jewish dessert, but merely because the main ingredient is new ricotta cheese it is also a standard cheesecake served in Italy. Easy to understand, sweet and scrumptious as all Italian dishes are, this one only has five ingredients and is easy for even the beginner cook to whip up. The trick to its' delcious consistency is utilizing new ricotta, not ricotta that has been created in a enormous processing plant. Refreshing ricotta is creamy, and smooth, and very nearly nothing at all like it can be factory created type.

Cassola

*two kilos new ricotta cheese

*five whole eggs

*1 1/three cups sugar

* grated zest of one new lemon

*1/two new vanilla bean, ground
